Diana Chittester

Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Performer

Diana Chittester accents every emotion of her intimate lyrics with a voice that showcases her unique soulful folk/rock sound and her signature finger-style guitar work. Her mix of blues/alternative vocal style breathes life to each song that she creates, making her simply alluring on stage.

Imitating a four-piece band with a single acoustic guitar, Diana’s percussive attack can incorporate funky bass lines while pounding out explosive rhythms and attention grabbing leads. Not afraid of her identity, or to mix things up, Diana includes a number of eclectic cover songs into her sets.

Diana is currently creating her first full- length CD, scheduled to be released the end of 2011. Diana released her first EP, Soul, independently, in 2009. Local legends John S’ferra of The Glass Harp & Dennis Augusta were enlisted for this debut CD.

She has received airplay and interviews on WRUW-FM 91.1, AcousticRoundtable.com, MSC Radio Network and "Keepin it Radio". She has performed with Cleveland natives Colin Dussalt, The New Barley Corn, Kristine Jackson and Alexis Antes. Her talent and enthusiasm has allowed her to share the bill with headliners as diverse as Jennifer Batten (guitarist for Michael Jackson and Jeff Beck), Melissa Ferrick, Bitch, Katie Todd, Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown and Donna Morgavero.

“She plays like Ani(DiFranco) and
sings like Alanis (Morrisette)”
Mandee, Publisher & Editor of Exiting City Magazine.
