Blue Lunch
Blue Lunch is a eight piece band which plays jump blues along with New Orleans R & B, Chicago blues, proto-rock& roll and even pre-bop jazz. Blue Lunch features a three piece horn section, upright bass, drums, keyboards, guitar and harmonica, along with multiple singers and harmonies. In all the contemporary blues scene, Blue Lunch stands alone with their unique sound.
Blue Lunch has received many accolades in its over 25 years of existence, including 2001 Cleveland Free Times Swing Band of the Year, 2005 Free Times Jazz Band of the Year and Cleveland Blues Society representative to the International blues Challenge in Memphis, TN in 2010.
Blue Lunch has played the main stage of numerous festivals including the Pittsburgh Blues Festival, The Cowpie Blues Festival in MI, the Columbus Jazz and Rib Fest, the Blues N' March in Buffalo, NY and the 2004 Inaugural Ball in Washington D.C.
Blue Lunch has recorded five critically acclaimed CD's including the 2009 release, "SideSwiped" and has shared the stage with dozens of major blues artists and has been the backing band of choice for international artists like Little Milton, Candye Kane, Robert Jr. Lockwood, "Sax" Gordon Beadle, Pinstop Perkins and Michelle Wilson.
For over 25 years, Blue Lunch's combination of outstanding musicianship, showmanship and humor has kept the dance floors filled and the audiences entertained!
