Excerpts From "The Snowman""
The Dancing Wheels Company will feature excerpts from "The Snowman," a full-length story ballet suitable for families and children of all ages. Based on the book written by Raymond Briggs and featuring the music of Howard Blake, The Snowman is an endearing and timeless tale of a small boy and his new found friendship with a charming and inquisitive snowman who comes to life to share with the boy a night filled with adventure and wonder. With choreography uniting the talents of dancers with and without disabilities and all new sets and scenery, The Snowman promises to enlighten and entertain.
Showcase times: Costumed excerpts of choreography at 7:00-7:20pm and 8:00-8:20pm. Video of on-stage excerpts of Snowman at 7:20-7:30pm and 8:20-8:30pm.
Showcase duration: 20 minutes
Showcase location: Ailey Studio 5B - The Joan Weill Center for Dance (corner of Ninth Avenue and 55th Street)

Dancing Wheels Presents Excerpts From the Mainstage Repertory Concerts
For over 30 years, The Dancing Wheels Company has offered repertory concerts that are recognized for their quality, diversity, and infusion of eclectic works from nationally-esteemed choreographers. The Company will showcase from the latest new works including "Far East of the Blues" by Donald McKayle, “anømalies” by Mark Tomasic, and "Missing You" by Peter Kalivas. Since Dancing Wheels is a physically integrated dance company uniting the talents of dancers with and without disabilities, the Company continually expands the reach of artistic possibilities with a message of inclusion and accessibility while celebrating the universal spirit of dance.
Showcase time: Excerpts of mixed repertoire at 7:30-7:45pm and 8:30-8:45pm.
