The Dancing Wheels Company, with more than 27 years of touring and presenting new and innovative works from nationally acclaimed choreographers, invite you to see the latest new works available for touring in the 2008/2009 season.

Unconquered Warriors , choreographed by Nai Ni Chen

A strong and dramatic piece mixing Asian traditional movement with modern physically integrated dance. The multi sectioned piece uses fans in its imagery to depict weapons used to prepare for battle.

Sweet Radio Radicals, choreographed by Diane McIntyr

An incredible compilation of music by American female artists sets the stage for this exciting work choreographed for an all female ensemble. Centered around a radio which changes as the dancers move into each new era with such artists as the Carter Sisters to Mahalia Jackson, Janis Joplin, Dolly Parton and more!

Dancing Wheels' The Snowman will return to the Cleveland Play House on March 1-3, 2008.

The winter land weekend will fill the halls of the Cleveland Play House with two gala events coinciding with the full-length story ballet, The Snowman. A shimmering Snow Ball Benefit will open the festivities with a sumptuous buffet, cocktails and silent auction viewing prior to the show and luscious wintry desserts and dancing the night away following the performance. Tickets are $100

The following afternoon families will enjoy a Frosty Family Fest, with games, prizes and an array of tasty treats including a "make your own ice cream sundae station" The performance will start at 3:00 followed by the family festivities. Tickets are $150 for a family of (4), individual tickets are $25 for children and $55 for adults.

Monday morning a special student matinee performance will be offered for area schools. Reservations are required.

MARY VERDI FLETCHER RECEIVES EMMY AWARD

On Saturday, September 8, 2007 Mary Verdi-Fletcher, President/Founding Artistic Director of The Dancing Wheels Company received an Emmy at the 38th Annual Lower Great Lakes Emmy Awards ceremony for her work with WNEO/WEAO Television in hosting "Shortcuts to Happiness".

The 12 series show created and produced by Steve Mitchell was Mary's first attempt, other than her reporting with T. V. 3 news, to do both on camera hosting and off camera narration. She is grateful for the opportunity and will proudly display her lovely Emmy statue.
